"Will GOD Do What HE Said ?"

 

Genesis 1:6-15 "And GOD said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And GOD made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And GOD called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And GOD said, Let the waters under the Heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And GOD called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called HE Seas: and GOD saw that it was good.

And GOD said, Let the Earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the Earth: and it was so. And the Earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and GOD saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. And GOD said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the Earth: and it was so."

     Let us answer this question from the Scriptures, noting the italicized texts. "And GOD said. . .and it was so" (vv. 6-7, 9, 14-15, 24). "For HE spake, and it was done; HE commanded, and it stood fast" (Psalm 33:9). "[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of GOD through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to GOD; and being fully persuaded that, what HE had promised, HE was able also to perform" (Romans 4:20-21). "There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass " (Joshua 21:45) "Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your GOD spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof" (Joshua 23:14). "Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto HIS people Israel, according to all that HE promised: there hath not failed one word of all HIS good promise" (1st.Kings 8:56). "The mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. . .The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this (Isaiah 40:5; 9:7). "All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of [by] the LORD by the prophet" (Matthew 1:22). "The Scriptures must be fulfilled" (Mark 14:49). "For there stood by me [Paul] this night the angel of GOD, whose I am, and whom I serve, saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar. . .Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer; for I believe GOD, that it shall be even as it was told me" (Acts 27:23-25). "All things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning ME" (Luke 24:44 pictured above). "Thus saith the LORD" (found 415 times in the Old Testament). GWZ
