" GOD Says 'PLEASE' Do Not Go to Hell ! "

"There is NONE that understands, there is NONE that seeks after GOD." (Romans 3:11). Man does not seek after GOD, but in HIS love, GOD seeks man, so that he will not go to Hell.

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;" (Isaiah 53:6a). "But GOD commended HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us." (Romans 5:8). "Seek ye the LORD while HE may be found, call ye upon HIM while HE is near:" (Isaiah 55:6). While HIS SPIRIT works in your heart, PLEASE do not go to Hell.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, HE that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." (John 10:1). You cannot go to Heaven by church membership, good works, water baptism, or being born into a Christian family, but only through the blood of JESUS, so PLEASE do not go to Hell.

"JESUS said unto him, I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man comes unto the FATHER, but by ME." (John 14:6). Here GOD says again, if you go to Heaven, you must go through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. There is no reason for you to go to Hell.

"No man can come to ME, except the FATHER which hath sent ME draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:44). Once we see ourselves as a sinner in GOD's sight and realize that JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY to Heaven, the HOLY SPIRIT says, "PLEASE do not go to Hell."

"All that the FATHER gives ME shall come to ME; and him that comes to ME I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37). We cast things away when we no longer need them, but GOD will never cast us out when we come to HIM. HE begs us NOT to go to Hell.

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27). "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of GOD." (Romans 10:17). After we hear the WORD of GOD, we must accept HIM, because after death it will be too late. PLEASE do not go to Hell.
"GOD forbid: yea, let GOD be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou might be justified in thy sayings, and might overcome when thou art judged." (Romans 3:4). Regardless of what man may say, GOD's WORD is true; therefore, PLEASE do not go to Hell.

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and where in ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that HE was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:" (1st.Corinthians 15:1-4). JESUS did all this for you that is why HE says,  PLEASE do not go to Hell.

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:5). Repentance is seeing ourselves as GOD does, turning to GOD from our sins through JESUS CHRIST, and trusting HIM for our salvation. If you do not repent, but reject JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOR, you will not enter into Heaven. PLEASE do not go to Hell.

HEAVENLY FATHER, in the name of JESUS CHRIST, I ask YOU to give everyone who reads this message the courage to say this prayer or one like it, and mean it with all their heart. AMEN.

If you will accept JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR, please pray with all your heart:

Dear LORD, I know that I am a sinner, and I believe YOU died and rose again for me. I am trusting YOU to forgive me, come into my heart and save me. Help me to live for YOU always. In JESUS' name I pray, AMEN.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears MY WORD, and believes on HIM that sent ME, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24).  GOD says, PLEASE do not go to Hell.

" Truth Enlightens "

Psalm 119:129-130  "THY testimonies are wonderful: therefore does my soul keep them. The entrance of THY WORDs gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple."

The Bible says, "The entrance of THY WORDs gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple" (v.130). These beautiful words of our text, coupled with many other Scriptures throughout both the Old and New Testaments, remind us that, in this world of darkness, no light exists apart from the Bible, GOD's HOLY WORD - the truth. The words of Scripture constitute the "more sure word of prophecy" referred to in 2nd. Peter 1:19-21. Satan, the god of this world, knows it is through the light of the glorious Gospel message that people are saved and delivered from sin and darkness (2nd.Corinthians 4:4), so he does everything possible to keep them from hearing, understanding, and believing the truth. In this attempt, Satan and his messengers often disguise themselves as "angels of light" (2nd.Corinthians 11:14), the exact opposite of their true nature and mission. GOD's divine Standard is the only way to expose their treachery.

Truth enlightens; error blinds. truth is the opposite of error and always must be separated from it. Mixing truth and error together strengthens error and weakens truth, no matter how attractive the mixture may outwardly appear to be. Today, so many in Christendom preach a false gospel, offer a false christ, and teach false doctrines; they spuriously label compromise and apostasy as "renewal" and "revival." Once again, "truth is fallen in the streets" (Isaiah 59:14) when Satan succeeds at blinding the eyes of those who need to be enlightened. As believers, what is our responsibility and privilege in the dark days in which we live ? It is to proclaim the true Gospel and to tell those who still walk in darkness about JESUS, the TRUTH, "the LIGHT of the World" (John 8:12). MHR

" Instruction in the Truth "

1st.John 2:26-29  "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in HIM. And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming. If ye know that HE is righteous, ye know that every one that does righteousness is born of HIM."

The one who has been converted by the power of the Gospel is indwelt by the HOLY SPIRIT from the very moment of conversion. This believer is also sealed by the same SPIRIT "unto the day of redemption" (Ephesians 4:30). As a newborn babe, this new creature in CHRIST experiences spiritual growth through the study of the WORD (1st.Peter 2:2), and the HOLY SPIRIT plays an instrumental part as his TEACHER. What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful INSTRUCTOR WHO will not lead us astray.

However, having the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT as our divine TEACHER does not mean, as some mistakenly claim, that we have no need for Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists. GOD uses spiritually qualified men to edify (build up) the body of CHRIST and to warn believers so they will not be blown about by "every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:11-14). This is GOD's plan for this age. Godly expositors of the WORD will speak only the truth and all of the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), thereby fulfilling their GOD-given responsibilities. Such teaching will never contradict, nor add to, the WORD of truth that was originally entrusted to the apostles and prophets by the same SPIRIT WHO now teaches us today.

In many Christian circles, certain preachers, teachers, and even singers claim to be ministering under a "special anointing" of the HOLY SPIRIT. However, their words and actions contradict the truth as found in GOD's WORD. Remember, the teaching ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT will always lead the believer into "all truth," never into any contradiction of the truth. Test all words and actions by the WORD of GOD alone. MHR

" Heaven "

Revelation 21:3-5  "And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of GOD is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their GOD. And GOD shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more gain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."

Heaven - a simple title with infinite meaning. Human words could never fully explain or describe it. What Scripture reveals is all that our mind can fathom, and yet our brain still cannot grasp the full extent of the revelation. It has been said that "Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people." In other words, not everyone is going there -  only those who have come to believe/trust in the LORD JESUS CHRIST alone for salvation will be there; only those whose sins are covered with the blood of the LAMB of GOD will be allowed entrance. When I think about Heaven and the New Jerusalem as recorded in GOD's WORD, I am reminded that we are not worthy of it. We will be there simply by GOD's grace, upon the righteous merits of JESUS CHRIST.

Heaven will bring no disappointments. We will have no suitcases or moving vans to pack when we move from Earth to Heaven. We will leave everything behind because all we ever need for all eternity is already there for us. No taxes of any kind, no bills to pay, and no energy shortages will ever worry the believer. JESUS will be on the throne forever. HIS kingdom will be a righteous kingdom. Your heavenly home will be yours for all eternity; you will never be evicted. It will never burn down nor be destroyed. You will have perfect health, with no medical payments or need of insurance - no Covid or cancer, and no sin ! "There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain" (v.4). "And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of GOD and of the LAMB shall be in it; and HIS servants shall serve HIM: and they shall see HIS face . . . and they shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 22:3-5). " A Debt We Could Never Pay ! "

John 19:28-37  "After this, JESUS knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to HIS mouth. When JESUS therefore had received the vinegar, HE said, It is finished: and HE bowed HIS head, and gave up the GHOST. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with HIM. But when they came to JESUS, and saw that HE was dead already, they brake not HIS legs: but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced HIS side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he says true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the Scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of HIM shall not be broken. And again another Scripture says, They shall look on HIM WHOM they pierced."

At the writing of this post, our national debt stands at 27 Trillion dollars and climbing. To pay back this sum, every person in America would have to contribute $82,300. If a dollar were paid toward the balance every second, it would take more than 855 millennia to pay off this amount. How could we ever pay this gargantuan liability ?

As individuals before an all-Holy GOD, we also have an enormous debt that we can never pay. We have failed to meet our obligations to the LORD (Romans 3:10, 23). We have broken GOD's righteous Law (John 7:19). We have earned for ourselves the death penalty (Romans 6:23). but, the LORD sent HIS beloved SON into this world to pay our debt and to suffer the death penalty in our place: "For CHRIST also hath once suffered for sins, the JUST (the righteous ONE) for the unjust (the unrighteous ones), that HE might bring us to GOD" (1st.Peter 3:18a). CHRIST came to pay a debt HE did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay. HE took our sins so that we could receive GOD's perfect righteousness: "For HE (GOD) hath made HIM (CHRIST) to be sin for us, WHO knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM" (2nd.Corinthians 5:21).

According to Roman law, when a person was imprisoned, the certificate of debt was nailed to the door, remaining there until the sentence was carried out. Then the authorities would take this certificate and write across it the word meaning "It is finished." The certificate would be given to the prisoner, and he could never be punished for those crimes again. JESUS' victory cry "It is finished" signifies paid in full (v.30). JESUS took our certificate of debt and wrote across it in HIS own blood: "Paid in full !" GWZ

"That They May Be One" ~ Unity is GOD's Will, But Only GOD's Way

John 17:1-26 "These WORDs spoke JESUS and lifted up HIS eyes to heaven, and said, FATHER, the hour is come: glorify THY SON, that THY SON also may glorify THEE: as THOU hast given HIM power over all flesh, that HE should give eternal life to as many as THOU hast given HIM. And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE the only true GOD, and JESUS CHRIST, WHOM THOU hast sent. I have glorified THEE on the earth: I have finished the work which THOU gave ME to do. And now, O FATHER, glorify THOU ME with THINE own self with the glory which I had with THEE before the world was. I have manifested THY name unto the men which THOU gave ME out of the world: THINE they were, and THOU gave them ME; and they have kept THY WORD.

Now they have known that all things whatsoever THOU hast given ME are of THEE. For I have given unto them the WORDs which THOU gave ME; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from THEE, and they have believed that THOU did send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which THOU hast given ME; for they are THINE. And all MINE are THINE, and THINE are MINE; and I AM glorified in them. And now I AM no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to THEE, HOLY FATHER, keep through THINE own name those whom THOU hast given ME, that they may be one, as WE are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in THY name: those that THOU gave ME I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

And now come I to THEE; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have MY joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them THY WORD; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I AM not of the world. I pray not that THOU should take them out of the world, but that THOU should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I AM not of the world. Sanctify them through THY truth: THY WORD is truth. As THOU hast sent ME into the world, even so have I sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify MYSELF, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on ME through their word; that they all may be one; as THOU, FATHER, art in ME, and I in THEE, that they also may be one in US: that the world may believe that THOU hast sent ME. And the glory which THOU gave ME I have given them; that they may be one, even as WE are ONE: I in them, and THOU in ME, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that THOU hast sent ME, and hast loved them, as THOU hast loved ME. FATHER, I will that they also, whom THOU hast given ME, be with ME where I AM: that they may behold MY glory, which THOU hast given ME: for THOU loved ME before the foundation of the world. O righteous FATHER, the world has not known THEE: but I have known THEE, and these have known that THOU hast sent ME. And I have declared unto them THY name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith THOU hast loved ME may be in them, and I in them. "

Unbelieving ecumenists and even a surprisingly large number of professed Bible believers claim that CHRIST's prayer found in today's text is their mandate for seeking a visible unity, or at least a spirit of cooperation, among all who call themselves "Christian." "Doctrine separates -- love unites !" is their cry, and if anyone dares to oppose their efforts of uniting all who name the name of CHRIST, then such a one is promptly labeled as being "unloving," "schismatic," or "pharisaical."

However, those who embrace and propagate this kind of thinking are mistaken in their interpretation of the LORD's prayer in today's text. They assume the unity of which the LORD JESUS CHRIST is speaking here is a united testimony accomplished by getting all who claim to be "Christians" to recognize one another as such and to express that unity in some form of common outward witness. But CHRIST's petition in this chapter is for the FATHER to accomplish unity only among the redeemed, the FATHER, the SON, and the HOLY SPIRIT. No man-made ecumenical movement can do this. The spiritual unity in CHRIST's prayer has already been answered by GOD the FATHER. All who are "IN CHRIST" are also in the FATHER and have - at this very moment - a spiritual unity with every other blood-washed believer. This unity was realized when the HOLY SPIRIT came to dwell within every believer (John 14:16-17), placing him or her, in turn, into the body of CHRIST (John 1:12; 1st.Corinthians 12:13). Being one in CHRIST and in GOD the FATHER by the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT through faith in JESUS is part and parcel of our "eternal life" (1st.John 2:22-25) - this is the true unity for which CHRIST prayed in John 17.

Banners displaying the phrase "That they may be One" are often seen at World Council of Churches and National Council of Churches meetings as well as other gatherings designed to foster unity among all who claim to follow JESUS. Yet one will never see a banner that displays the rest of the sentence: "That they also may be one in US" (v.21) and: "That they may be one, as WE are" (v.11). And why is that so ? It is because the phrases "in US" and "as WE are" state in no uncertain terms exactly what kind of unity the LORD is talking about and who is involved - this is certainly not the unity the liberals are striving for among believers and unbelievers alike. CHRIST's prayer was not to ignore truth for the sake of unity but, instead, to experience unity according to GOD's truth (v.17). To join with unbelief in any form is antithetical to this prayer.

"In US" - that means all who are to be included in this unity must be saved, born again by the SPIRIT and the WORD. They must possess a relationship with CHRIST (vv.8,20). No one can possibly be in CHRIST and in the FATHER without having been born again, yet the whole thrust of the modern ecumenical movement is to welcome whoever "calls JESUS 'LORD.'" But multitudes of people who are members of churches that preach a false gospel and a false Jesus, can and do say those very words (Matthew 7:22-23). Do Catholic, Orthodox, and liberal Protestant churches have congregations who are genuinely saved and, therefore, "in US" ? Absolutely not ! The whole ecumenical movement is a sham - avoid it (Romans 16:17-18)! The world will believe (v.21) only when it is confronted by the pure witness of born again saints (John 16:7-11), not man-made organizations. Do not be misled by ecumenical deceit. DWC

" Rolling Up the Sleeves "

Isaiah 53:1-9 "Who hath believed our report ? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed ? For HE shall grow up before HIM as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: HE hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see HIM, there is no beauty that we should desire HIM. HE is despised and rejected of men; a MAN of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from HIM; HE was despised, and we esteemed HIM not.

Surely HE hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem HIM stricken, smitten of GOD, and afflicted. But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM; and with HIS stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on HIM the iniquity of us all. HE was oppressed, and HE was afflicted, yet HE opened not HIS mouth: HE is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so HE opened not HIS mouth. HE was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare HIS generation ? for HE was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was HE stricken. And HE made HIS grave with the wicked, and with the rich in HIS death; because HE had done no violence, neither was any deceit in HIS mouth."

In the past, our church has taken many ministry teams to Mexico. Occasionally, one of the vehicles would break down along the road. As the convoy would pull off to address the problem, it was always a blessing to see men rolling up their sleeves. That simple act let me know that they were ready to get their hands dirty.

In the fifty-third chapter of Isaiah, which describes the sufferings of our SAVIOR for us, the prophet begins the account with a most striking statement: "Who hath believed our report ? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed ?" (v.1). GOD rolled up HIS sleeves, as it were, in order to accomplish the hands-on work necessary for our salvation. The Apostle Paul puts this wonderful work of CHRIST into perspective: JESUS "made HIMSELF of no reputation, and took upon HIM the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, HE humbled HIMSELF, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:5-8).

Baring HIS arm, our blessed SAVIOR, according to the prophet Isaiah, willingly did that which was necessary to save us. "HE is despised . . . HE hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows . . . HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities . . . The LORD hath laid on HIM the iniquity of us all. HE was oppressed, and HE was afflicted, yet HE opened not HIS mouth, HE is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so HE opened not HIS mouth" (vv.3-7). The baring of HIS arm has resulted in nail prints on our SAVIOR's hands - all due to HIS great love and grace. I am grateful GOD "rolled up HIS sleeves" for me ! JMC

" The Greatest Story Ever Told ! "

Revelation 19:11-16 "And I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and HE that sat upon him was called FAITHFUL and TRUE, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war. HIS eyes were as a flame of fire, and on HIS head were many crowns; and HE had a name written, that no man knew, but HE HIMSELF. And HE was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and HIS name is called The WORD of GOD. And out of HIS mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it HE should smite the nations: and HE shall rule them with a rod of iron: and HE treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD. And HE hath on HIS vesture and on HIS thigh a name written, KING of Kings and LORD of Lords."

Though the Bible is composed of sixty-six books written by more than forty men over a period of at least 1,400 years, it is one book with one central theme - the story of man's redemption through GOD's provision of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. The Scriptures open with the words, " In the beginning GOD." In the third chapter of Genesis we read of man's disobedience when he inherited the just title of sinner. The promise of the SAVIOR first appears in Genesis 3:15 and then prophetically occurs throughout the remainder of the Old Testament. The wonder of JESUS dying in our place and our redemption through HIS blood is prefigured in the details of the tabernacle and the celebration of the Passover. Psalm 22, written 1,000 years prior to Calvary, depicts the death of CHRIST upon the cross. Isaiah 53, penned more than seven centuries before the crucifixion, describes in the eternal present the sufferings of CHRIST.

The New Testament opens with the blessed fulfillment of the long-promised SAVIOR (Matthew 1:21). The Gospels present the glories of JESUS walking the Earth, the book of Acts shares the proclamation of the Gospel, and the epistles declare the blessings of CHRIST now living in the believer (Galatians 2:20). The final chapter of the "greatest story ever told" is "The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST" (Revelation 1:1). "Revelation" is more than the title of the last book of the Bible -  it is the happening that wraps up time and ushers in eternity. The world will finally know JESUS as "KING of Kings, and LORD of Lords" (Revelation 19:16). The "Greatest Story Ever Told" is drawing to a conclusion. The final chapter is about to unfold. Have you trusted JESUS as your SAVIOR ? Are you awaiting the KING ? JMC
