" GOOD NEWS for Uncertain Times "

Luke 21:25-28   "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of Heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the SON of MAN coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these thing begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh."
We are living in trying and difficult days. Crises abound on every side, both nationally and internationally. But in spite of these troubling times, nonetheless, there is GOOD NEWS: 1. GOD is still on HIS throne (Psalm 11:4). HE still rules "over all the kingdoms of the heathen" (2nd.Chronicles 20:6). 2. The LORD JESUS is still the KING of kings and LORD of lords, WHOSE coming is now nearer than when we first believed (Revelation 19:16; Romans 13:11). 3. The Bible is still living and powerful and life-changing (Hebrews 4:12; 2nd.Timothy 3:16-17). 4. The SON of MAN is still seeking the lost (Luke 19:10), still desiring that all men might be saved and come to "the knowledge of the truth" (1st.Timothy 2:4). 5. The HOLY SPIRIT is still convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11). 6. The Gospel is still "the power of GOD unto salvation" to everyone that believes (Romans 1:16).
     7. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is still able to save "to the uttermost" (completely !) all who come unto GOD through HIM (Hebrews 7:25). 8. The cross, not the government, is still our only hope of Salvation (Galatians 6:14), and those who trust in man are still under GOD's curse (Jeremiah 17:5). 9. In difficult times, the LORD will still take care of HIS own (Matthew 10:28-31). 10. The ONE WHO lives in believers is still greater than the god of this world (1st.John 4:4). 11. The living GOD will still be with us always, and HIS promise is still true that HE will never leave us and will never forsake us (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5-6). 12. No matter what difficulties we may face in the upcoming days as we live in this GOD-despising and truth-hating world, our LORD is yet faithful and will preserve HIS own and keep us from falling (Jude 24). 1. It is all about HIM & not about me, but I do thank you for your words of encouragement, they are very rare these days !
