"WISDOM - Divine Wisdom Is Found in the WORD"

Colossians 3:16-17 "Let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD and the FATHER by HIM.
Today's text admonishes believers to "let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in all wisdom" (v.16). How much time do we spend in GOD's WORD ? Does it dwell in us "richly" or sparingly ? Are we continually seeking to know more of GOD and HIS will for us, or are our own interests and concerns of primary importance ? Do we have "spiritual songs" in our heart and on our lips, or have we been captivated by the music of the unregenerate world ? Are we concerned with whether or not the Bible we are reading is a reliable translation of the WORD Of GOD, or are we using one of today's watered-down and corrupted versions ? And, if we are studying GOD's pure, divinely preserved WORD, are we willing to obey its precepts, exposing and separating from false teachers, disobedient brethren, and the worldliness about which the LORD warns ? If we are to please GOD, then everything we do must be motivated by a longing to honor and obey HIM according to HIS WORD. Is it our sincere desire to obtain GOD's divine wisdom ?
One of Satan's devious ploys is to turn the minds of many away from GOD's completed revelation of all wisdom and truth (the Bible), causing them, instead, to listen to charismatic leaders who claim to receive additional divine wisdom directly from GOD the FATHER, JESUS CHRIST, the HOLY SPIRIT, or an angel. The problem, however, is that such "wisdom" often directly contradicts the Bible and turns the hearts and minds of those who follow such deceivers away from the tried-and-true written WORD of GOD. The LORD's orders concerning HIS holy WORD still apply. We are not to add to nor to diminish (take away) from GOD's completed canon of Scripture (Deuteronomy 4:1-6; Isaiah 8:19-20 pictured above; Revelation 22:18-19 pictured above). MHR
