" And We Shall Be Saved "

     The above title / phrase is from the book of Isaiah Chapter 64.  This chapter speaks a prayer by the remnant of Israel and Chapter 65:1-16 is the LORD's answer to the remnant.  It is a beautiful section of the book of Isaiah and I can't do any better than the original:  Isaiah 64 thru 65:16

     OH, that YOU would rend the heavens ! That YOU would come down !  That the mountains might shake at YOUR presence-
     As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil-
To make YOUR name known to YOUR adversaries, that the nations may
tremble at YOUR presence ! 
     When YOU did awesome things for which we did not look, YOU came down, the mountains shook at YOUR presence.
     For since the beginning of the world, men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any GOD besides YOU, who acts for the one who waits for HIM.
     You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers YOU in YOUR ways. YOU are indeed angry for we have sinned- In these ways we continue;  And we need to be saved.
     But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousness's are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away,
     And there is no one who calls on YOUR name, who stirs himself up to take hold of YOU; For YOU have hidden YOUR face from us, and have consumed us because of our iniquities.
     But know, O LORD, YOU are our FATHER, we are the clay, and YOU our potter, and all we are the work of YOUR hand.
     Do not be furious, O LORD, nor remember iniquity forever; indeed, please look-we all are YOUR people !
     YOUR holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
     Our holy and beautiful temple, where our fathers praised YOU, is burned up with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
     Will YOU restrain YOURSELF because of these things, O LORD ? Will YOU hold YOUR peace, and afflict us very severely ?

     I was sought by those who did not ask for ME; I was found by those who did not seek ME.  I said, " Here I AM, here I AM " to a nation that was not called by MY name.
     I have stretched out MY hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts;
     A people who provoke ME to anger continually to MY face; who sacrifice in gardens, and burn incense on altars of brick,
     Who sit among the graves, and spend the night in the tombs, who eat swine's flesh, and the broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
     Who say, " Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I AM holier than you ! "  These are smoke in MY nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.
     " Behold, it is written before ME: I will not keep silence, but will repay-even repay into their bosom-
     Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together," says the LORD, who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed ME on the hills; therefore, I will measure their former work into their bosom."
     Thus says the LORD:
     As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, " Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it,'  So will I do for MY servants' sake, that I may not destroy them all.
     I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah an heir of MY mountains; MY elect shall inherit it, and MY servants shall dwell there.
     Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, for MY people who have sought ME.
     But you are those who forsake the LORD, who forget MY holy mountain, who prepare a table for Gad, and who furnish a drink offering for Meni.
     Therefore I will number you for the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did evil before MY eyes, and chose that in which I do not delight."
     Therefore thus says the LORD GOD:
     Behold, MY servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; Behold, MY servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; Behold MY servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed;
     Behold, MY servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and wail for grief of spirit.
     You shall leave your name as a curse to MY chosen; for the LORD GOD will slay you, and call HIS servants by another name;
     So that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the GOD of TRUTH; and he who swears in the earth shall swear by the GOD of TRUTH; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from MY eyes.

     The above sections of the book of Isaiah are indicating the sins of GOD's people Israel and HIS final restoration of them.  Israel will come to know that their MESSIAH came to them, and they did not know HIM and they allowed the LORD of Glory to be crucified ( or as Zechariah 12:10 says they will look on HIM whom they have pierced ). All of the predictions of the coming of their MESSIAH in the Old Testament was fulfilled in the PERSON and WORK of GOD's SON, JESUS CHRIST in the New Testament.     
      In the book of Psalm 122 starting in vs.6 - Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls. Prosperity within your palaces, for the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, " Peace be within you."  Because of the house of the LORD our GOD, I will seek your good.
      Currently it looks as if Israel is blocked on all sides by their enemies, but GOD's WORD tells of a coming time of great tribulation on all the earth, after the LORD comes to take HIS bride, the Church home. Once we are gone, there will seem to be peace for about 3 1/2 years and then the one they thought was so great will show his true colors and do such horrific things that it will make what Hitler did look like a walk in the park.  Currently, the really horrible days are being restrained while the LORD completes the time of the Gentiles, but once HE takes HIS Bride home to be with HIM, there will be nothing here to keep evil at bay and the misery that will ensue for the other 3 1/2 years will make people wish that the rocks and the mountains would fall on them, but they will not repent, instead they will shake their fists in GOD's face and hate him even more.

     As sinners, we all deserve the wrath of GOD as John 3:18 and 36 state, unbelievers are already under this wrath.  But if you accept that as a sinner, you can do nothing to save yourself, believe that JESUS CHRIST, GOD's SON came and died on the cross, rose from the grave on the 3rd day, and is seated on the right hand of GOD the FATHER ever to make intercession for HIS people, waiting to hear the sinners pray of repentance, ask JESUS to come into your heart and save you, HE WILL, Jew or Gentile, we all come to GOD the same way, thru HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST !!!!
