What does YOUR god require of YOU ?

This blog is a follow-up to the one I did yesterday about " What has Your god done for You lately ? ".  Of course, my GOD has done so much, as I stated, there is not enough space in one single blog or lifetime. But in this blog I am asking what does your god require of you. The god of so many religions require that their followers must do something to get their god to do something for them. Quid pro quot kind of religion is not much of a religion. How do you know if you have done enough for your god to get you somewhere better, when you pass on from this life ?  A works religion is a religion that leaves you empty, hollow and uncertain about your eternity, and you will have an eternity !
Every soul, given by GOD, will live forever somewhere. This includes every baby aborted by whatever means, every person fortunate enough to be born, all persons young and old will live somewhere forever !  If your religion requires you to do anything, for your god, as payment to get you somewhere better when you pass on, then that religion is dead and unable to get you anywhere but Hell.
The book of Romans talks a lot about works vs.faith and concludes that a person who tries to work their way to heaven either by philanthropic type works, baptism, catechism, murder/suicide, communion or any other works type requirement is not by GOD's grace but is trying to get to heaven by his (mans) own strength. Rom.4:2 thru 7 states - For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something of which to boast, but not before GOD. For what does the Scripture say ? " Abraham believed GOD and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace, but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on HIM who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom GOD imputes righteousness apart from works:  "Blessed is he whose transgression is  forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. " Psalm 32:1-2
Also in Rom.4:20 thru 22 it states - He did not waiver at the promise of GOD through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to GOD, and being fully convinced that what HE had promised HE was also able to perform. And therefore, " it was accounted to him for righteousness." Rom.10:9 thru 13 states - That if you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS and believe in your heart that GOD has raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For  the Scripture says, " Whomever believes on HIM will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same LORD over all is rich to all who call upon HIM. For whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.
What does My GOD require of me ? To love HIM. To put HIM first in my life above all others or anything. To obey HIS doctrine and commands. In 1st.John 1:5 thru 2:2 states - This is the message which we have heard from HIM and declare to you, that GOD is light and in HIM is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with HIM and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth, but if we walk in the light as HE is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of JESUS CHRIST HIS SON cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM a liar and HIS WORD is not in us. My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an ADVOCATE with the FATHER, JESUS CHRIST the righteous, and HE HIMSELF is the propitiation for our sins and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
And in 1st.John 2:15 thru 17 states - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the FATHER is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the FATHER but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of GOD abides forever.
My GOD loves me enough to give me 66 love letters in HIS WORD the Bible. HE tells me in so many ways through HIS WORD how to live the best life for HIM and when I goof up and do something wrong, HE does not turn HIS back on me but HE listens as I ask for forgiveness through HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, my ADVOCATE. HE forgives me, picks me up and brushes me off and then helps me, by HIS indwelling HOLY SPIRIT, to go forward and do for HIM what only I can do - which is to LOVE & PRAISE HIS HOLY name forever and forever, AMEN !!!
Your servant in CHRIST,
Julie
